Budget Analyst I - as a trainee, performs a variety of clearly-defined tasks assigned to increase knowledge of and understanding of budget concepts, principles, practices, and procedures. Assists in the development of budgets by comparing projected costs to prior year expenditures verifying totals and subtotal, preparing budget forms and schedules, or assists in budget administration by examining and highlighting obvious deviations in reports listing the status of financial obligations and expenditures.
(Terminal positions are excluded.) Work is performed under close supervision. Assignments are clearly defined, methods are specified, and items to be noted and referred to supervisor are identified. |
