Attorney I work is characterized by Level 1 Difficulty(D1) and Responsibilities(R1). D-1-Legal questions are characterized by: facts that are well-established, clearly applicable legal precedents, and matters not of substantial importance to the organization. (Usually relatively limited sums of money, a few thousand dollars, are involved.) Examples of D-1 work are: a. legal investigation, negotiation, and research preparatory to defending the organization in potential or actual lawsuits involving alleged
negligence where the facts can be firmly established and there are precedent cases directly applicable to the situation, b. searching case reports, legal documents, periodicals, textbooks, and other legal references, and preparing draft opinions on employee compensation or benefit questions where there is a substantial amount of clearly applicable statutory, regulatory, and case material. |
